Dear 50/50
The Dinokeng insert was interesting. I was very sorry to see the almost exclusive attention to the big-5 translocation excercise with little or no mention of the suitability of the terrain, the veld conditions, prey animals or other smaller mammals.
Unfortunately, some viewers might well come to the conclusion that all that is needed to create a sustainable big-5 area is the introduction of these charismatic animals!

Hi Chris

First off, 50|50 the name is a reference to the balance that is required between human and nature in order for environmental peace to exist. And everytime we do an insert on any subject someone feels cheated irrespective depending on which side they support. And I’m only saying this to you because two weeks ago we had an insert where people felt it was too critical on Nuclear energy and not enough pro nuclear interview were investigated.

Please keep watching the show, and you’ll actually find that we actually don’t choose sides at all, we just deliver the information out there for the viewer to decide.

The 50/50 show that was televised on Maoday 12th December refers. The show presented some information on Nuclear Energy in South Africa. I found the nuclear debate to be biased towards “pro nuclear”. Many of the negative aspects of this energy source were not given enough emphasis. It would be good if a proper 50/50 debate on the subject could be televised. It would be a tradgery if this very popular program was forced to change its name to 60/40.
